Wednesday

There was a mid-morning run (the dog, not me) in Musgrave Park today.  Windy but bright.  Overnight rain on top of more rain has left large sections of the grounds under water.  The dog was in his element ... and in the water!

Dougal caught sight of the water and he was off!

Another walker was highly amused at his antics!  You would think that he'd never seen water before.  Such an amount of splashing and lying about.

And one rather wet dog to be brought home ... with his four very muddy paws.

It was fun watching him just as long as I didn't think about the cleaning up afterwards.

After the service of Holy Communion (Conversion of Saint Paul transferred) I went off for lunch to a nearby cafe.  Good food and cheap.  Great service too.  The homemade pie is delicious ... and enough gravy to serve a battalion!

Languishing in the boot of the car were some daffodils ... they don't appear to have suffered during their twenty four hour incarceration.  Another sign of spring around the corner.

Dougal plonked himself down beside them ... I think he now assumes (probably correctly) that the camera means "pose nicely"!  Who could resist that adorable gaze?  Certainly not me.

So that's a glimpse of today ... lots of other bits and pieces happened ... but for now ... thinking of good friends who will bury their mother tomorrow.

Good night.
