Raindrops on the clothes line and the web ... it's been a few days since you could hang out washing.
Wet sky ... grey and dull ... not in the least inviting!
Almost all the leaves have gone and again it is too soggy to go down to the usual photographing spot ... so this was taken from the shelter of the wood shed!Wet dog ...
Even Eliot wasn't too keen to spend much time in the garden. I wonder is it uncomfortable for a dog to lie around in a wet coat? I'd not want to do it ... but do dogs feel the same? He does appear to enjoy his bed beside the radiator so maybe he like his creature comforts too!
Apart from the weather it has been a busy sort of day and still "stuff" not done that was intended to be done. An early start in the morning should sort out a few odd bits so that I can have a quiet New Year's Eve. Having the New Year begin on a Sunday is rather special ... Parish Holy Communion at 10.15 am!
Now ... before midnight ... on the eve of New Year's Eve ... it's time for bed!
Lord for the years your love has kept and guided,
urged and inspired us, cheered us on our way,
sought us and saved us, pardoned and provided,
Lord of the years, we bring our thanks today.

Oh isn't it wet!! Yet my family on in the South east say they have had little rain.
Lucky you with the 10.15 - as my husband is The Curate (new boy on the block) he has the 8.00 (so I have to do the dog walk) 9.30 in our other rural church and was due to move on to yet another rural church for 11 am. Someone took pity on him for and offered to do the 11.am (I AM very grateful - shame it wasn't the 8.00......)Still starts the New Year in a sprightly fashion! Happy New Year to you for tomorrow!
Happy New Year Harriet .... eight o'clock is too early for our elderly folk. 10.15 am is even early ... but we share the building at the moment so had to move from eleven o'clock to the earlier time.
