2010:365:275 Eliot, Frank and Tigger!

Harvest Thanksgiving weekend is here!  The church looks and smells wonderful.
Worship is at 11.00 am (Holy Communion) and 7.00 pm (United Praise Service).
Tigger was photographed all over the building this morning.
Standing on the chrysanthemums....
... and on the turnip....
... he balanced precariously on the wrought iron ...
.... and could be spotted among the sunflowers!
All of the windowsills are full of fruit, vegetables and flowers.
Tomorrow we celebrate God's goodness in the past year and the special harvest offering is for the work of the church in the wider world.  There are a lot more pictures ... not sure if you can follow this link: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=236703&id=574725764
That's all for Tigger... now for Frank.
Frank is a Skunk from America who has dropped in to Belfast for a wee while and will be in church tomorrow!  His arrival today was greeted with enthusiasm by Eliot.
Well ... you know how Eliot doesn't like to have his photograph taken ... the first few attempts to get these shots failed miserably!  He simply won't pose for the camera.  Then I thought that I could hide pieces of one of his favourite treats, puffed jerky, in and around the package .... it worked and, if you didn't know the truth, you might just think he's interested in the parcel!
He wasn't in the least concerned about the contents either!
This is Frank!  I thought he ought to see one of the big sunflowers to make him feel at home ... I imagine there are sunflowers in California?
Just one last thing .... the 365Project picture!  None of the above.
2nd October is a day dedicated to "liveSTRONG" - a cancer awareness project and the theme is a yellow food heart.  This was my submission (and my breakfast).  Custard with cinnamon and honey coated apple slices sautéed in butter!  Very tasty.
More information about that project is here: http://365project.org/winosandfoodies/365

Praise, O praise our God and king:
hymns of adoration sing:
for his mercies still endure,
ever faithful, ever sure.

I considered that you probably had some harvest photos on your blog. What a lovely reward! Beautiful setting!
