A quick blog on a sunny Sunday afternoon before it is time for the evening service in our neighbouring Methodist church. Lunch wasn't great ... put together in a hurry and a bit bland ... so it needed a good dessert!
What better is there than a tub of rather special yoghurt.
This one is made near Bangor using the milk from pedigree holstein and jersey cattle. These cows usually come away from the Balmoral Show with many ribbons and are well known as an excellent herd. Beautiful animals.
Clandeboye Estate is well managed, an ecological masterpiece and the gardens worth a long visit when there are open days.
Lady Dufferin is an artist and a copy of one of her interiors is reproduced on the yoghurt pot lids.
Life needs to have these little, simple pleasures sometimes.
And Eliot agrees as he licks the empty pot! No, he doesn't get a full one - not at that price!! But he does enjoy the small traces that I leave behind.
Today's collect.
Almighty God,
you have made us for yourself,
and our hearts are restless till they find their rest in you:
Teach us to offer ourselves to your service,
that here we may have your peace,
and in the world to come may see you face to face;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
you have made us for yourself,
and our hearts are restless till they find their rest in you:
Teach us to offer ourselves to your service,
that here we may have your peace,
and in the world to come may see you face to face;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
