Yesterday was an opportunity for members of Mothers' Union in Connor Diocese to draw aside for a while to listen to God ...
We met in Saint Nicholas' at ten o'clock and enjoyed some fresh scones and a cup of tea or coffee in preparation for a 10.30 am start.
For many people the days are spent busy and doing things ... so it is both a challenge and a privilege to be able to take a few hours out to listen to God.
The afternoon part of the day began with a short act of worship before we returned to silent reflection on some familiar Bible passages.
A good day for most people ... though some find it hard to use the silence constructively ... maybe that's something that needs practice?
