Just one picture ...

Have I lost my touch?  Yesterday I took just one photograph during the entire day!
Of course, there were opportunities ... but all were missed.  It was a terribly wet day and driving to Fivemiletown in the heavy downpour should have given at least one rainy day picture.  All I had was the morning sky which threatened the rain that followed.
 So there are no shots of the dry Fermanagh countryside ... we left the rain behind in the eastern counties ... and no record of the beautiful meal ... nor of the rainbow on the way back!
The sky series of pictures continues to keep me interested ... perhaps some day I ought to take a photograph every hour ... but for the last few hours this morning we've had a beautiful blue sky with just a few high clouds to give interest.
There's a lot to be said for sunshine and the clotheslines full of shirts, towels and bed linen are flapping around  quite nicely in the breeze.  All the dog's bedding is next for the machine ... you can't miss an opportunity like this!  "Seize the day" is perhaps the motto!

Be still, my soul: thy God doth undertake
to guide the future as he has the past.
Thy hope, thy confidence let nothing shake;
all now mysterious shall be bright at last.
Be still, my soul: the waves and winds still know
his voice who ruled them while he dwelt below.

Church Hymnal number 666 verse 2
Katharina von Schlegel (1752)

One of my favourite hymns! Lovely sunshine here too - lifts the heart

This morning there was a thick layer of mist/cloud on top of Divis, or it may be Black Mountain - either way the sun was shining brightly on the lovely green lower slopes and the sky above was a clear blue - hard to imagine if you're walking on the misty bit.
