A dog post ...

Blog post ... or ... dog post ...

Eliot was in the mood for photographs this morning ... so I'd hate to miss the opportunity!  Here's a selection from a rather cold and frosty time in the garden with air temperatures only just
4°C
Winter has arrived!
And with it a brighter, sunnier morning ... rain is, of course, forecast for later in the day!
 You can see the frosty covering on the grass ... daft dog likes to lick it!  Maybe that's the collie's equivalent of an ice cream?
 A rustling in the leaves and his attention turns to the beech tree ... that tree that covers the garden with leaves, beech nuts and small branches!
I received a beautiful card in the post today ... very tiny ... just eight centimetres tall by six wide ...
A quotation in it from "Lux benigna" ...

Lead, kindly Light, amid the encircling gloom,
lead thou me on;
the night is dark, and I am far from home,
lead thou me on.
Keep thou my feet, I do not ask to see
the distant scene, one step enough for me.
