Now or never!

I'm going to be away from the computer for the rest of the day ... days ... week ... who knows!  so taking a chance here to put on today's pictures before heading out into the gloomy day.
Another grey sky this morning with a poor forecast.  So much for hoping that we might get a bit of a dander in the Mournes or a romp on the beach ... or perhaps Kilkeel will have a micro climate of Mediterranean proportions.  I'm not holding my breath for that!  At this stage "dry" would suffice ... though "sunshine" would be a bonus!
Eliot decided that this morning's activity would be a joint effort.  He'd make little bits of foil and paper to scatter far and wide ... and I could play fetch on my hands and knees!  He's such a creative and thoughtful pup!  Huh.  You should see the mess ... wall to wall fragments to be gathered up.
 Happy dog!  Less than happy owner!
 Finally ... today's turtle is from Swaziland and lights up beautifully when the flame is burning ... the trouble is ... every time I use it the turtle becomes a little smaller!

Thinking of those to be ordained deacon at the beginning of September.

Almighty God, the giver of all good gifts,
by your Holy Spirit you have appointed
various orders of ministry in the Church:
Look with mercy on your servants now called to be deacons;
maintain them in truth and renew them in holiness,
that by word and good example they may faithfully serve you
to the glory of your name
and the benefit of your Church;
through the merits of our Saviour Jesus Christ.  Amen

Maybe you may want to get a twitter button to your website. Just bookmarked the blog, but I had to do this manually. Just my advice.

I'm looking forward to the holiday blog: Eliot(and Elizabeth) on top of Binian, Commedagh and all those other lovely places - with photos to show us all what views were like...
