Sniffing and running ...

... the dog, that is!
I had photocopying to do for the Tenebrae on Friday coming so, while the machine was warming up, I followed "himself" around ... just so that Roberta (and others) might have another picture or two of the pup!
Some pup!  The camera shy clown!
He's one lucky dog to have such a great "playground" when I'm in the office.  There must have been another dog around at some stage because he took a close interest in parts of the grass.
As usual the boundary was checked and all seemed to be well.  He appears very dedicated to the task in hand here and always makes a complete circuit at the beginning of the visit.
That done it is then back to the car for a quick drink before further exploration.
Whenever I appear there he is ... running towards me and then on to somewhere else without stopping.  Any person, dog or car that passes the gate is investigated and vetted.  I love to watch the folk who stop to talk to him and a few who pass by on the other side!  Some of the people in the area now know him quite well.
Now, once again, it is almost time for the evening Lent service.  I'll have to miss choir practice tonight and don't like doing that ... but bi-location isn't possible in Lent!  If it were, then I'd be tempted to send one of me to bed for a while!  The next job will be to get the Three Hours at the Cross sorted for Good Friday and the orders of service done for Easter Day - both for the 8.30 am "Dawn" service and then the United Holy Communion at 10.30 am.

Father,
this week we recall
the last events
in the life of your Son,
leading up to his crucifixion and death.
Grant us the strength
perfectly to follow his teachings,
and imitate his actions,
so that we might serve him fully,
and share eternal life with all the saints.
We pray in his name.  Amen.

How can a pup so many miles away bring me such joy? I have no clue! But I'm so glad he does.

As always, thanks for the pics....I love the way his tongue is hanging out from all of his effort - protecting his mama is definitely hard work but it does show how much he loves her:)

Nothing much better than the smile of a dog! Will try to change my profile picture to my favorite one of Mr. Matty looking quite pleased with himself.

Since my work schedule isn't allowing me much Holy Week church attendance, I am focusing on both Oswald Chambers' writings as well as some appropriate poetry. Christina Rossetti's "Good Friday" I find very poignant.
