Here's breakfast!
I've had this eggcup since childhood .... it dates from about 1953 ... considering that it was used regularly over the years it has survived remarkably well.
It came first with a chocolate egg ... but now serves very well for the morning treat.
Meanwhile ... the dog didn't see the camera pointing in his direction so here's his plea ... please may we go for a walk - now?
And then he contents himself with gazing out of the window mournfully ... or possibly reassured to know that a walk will materialize at some stage. The second orange coloured azalea is coming into flower in the background here. (The first one is just out of sight.)
Almighty God,
at the Last Supper your Son Jesus Christ
washed the disciples’ feet
and commanded them to love one another.
Give us humility and obedience to be servants of others
as he was the servant of all;
who gave up his life and died for us,
yet is alive and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever. Amen.

How could anyone resist taking Eliot for a walk when he looks so keen and asks so nicely...
from the way you've posted your pics it looks like Eliot is actually looking at the egg longingly:)
and keeping a porcelain egg cup for 58 years is quite impressive!
