Right out of ideas tonight.

Today the sun was streaming into the church building while I was waiting for a group of folk who'd said that they would meet me there.  I was half an hour early so spent a while doing some practice reading as I enjoyed a number of the Psalms.
This photograph is straight out of the camera so you can see how bright and airy is the building.
Of course there were a number of other pictures taken as well - always the east windows look so good.  We're in the Epiphany season and the white brocade is so fine and soft.  Beautiful stuff.
This is the 365Project picture for today - I've used the church there before but Saint Nicholas' is so much my life that you can't have too many views of it.
Tomorrow, of course, is Wednesday and we'll celebrate Holy Communion at 1.00 pm as usual.  There is great fellowship in this group who worship regularly here and a warm welcome for the visitors who just drop in because they were passing on the street.
Meanwhile ... remember the bear?
The wee tiny thing to which I added water.  I'd thought he'd reached the extent of his growth when this picture was taken ... so he was left on a shelf in the kitchen and more or less forgotten about.
That was ten days ago.
Would you look at him now?   He has just about reached the top of the perspex egg and has nowhere further to go.  It really has been a most interesting project watching him expand to fill the space.
You have to go back to the 29th December to remember how he looked at the beginning of the process.
I'm amazed that he's kept the correct proportions throughout his time of expansion.
Today is the beginning of the octave of Christian Unity ... so that will be the prayer for tonight.

Lord Jesus Christ,
who said to your apostles,
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you:
look not on our sins but on the faith of your Church,
and grant it the peace and unity of your kingdom;
where you are alive and reign with the Father
and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.  Amen.

Book of Common Prayer.
