Begging...

Without really trying Eliot can make you feel selfish!  His pleading eyes follow the plate of lasagne as I move from kitchen to dining room.  You'd not exactly say that he's "begging" but he certainly is tearing at the heart-strings with those big brown eyes.
Of course, he's not alone.
Mollie joins in this pantomime.
A second pair of wee eyes also follow my dinner's every move.  Both dogs are well mannered and don't jump up or make a fuss, but both watch every forkful with hope and maybe even faith!
Of course they got a morsel ... and that's all they needed before heading off to play.
I did wonder what they were plotting.  First Eliot whispers in Mollie's ear ...
... then she appears to have a conversation with him.  Maybe they are discussing the fact that the chair cushions have been put up so that Mollie can't sit on them.
Or it is possible that they were planning this move!  Just imagine the conversation:
"Why not go to the drawing room ... out of sight, out of mind ... there we'll be able to lounge around on the soft cushions of the sofa ... no one will notice ... "
Is it my imagination, or does Eliot look a tad guilty in this picture?  He knows the house rules.  There is one chair, and only one chair, where he's allowed to sit!
Anyhow, it made me smile and provided some fun photographs on a Sunday afternoon.  It is good to laugh.
Laughter reduces stress and helps us keep things in perspective.  With two "clowns" that is certainly true!  Laughing is contagious and, as the proverb says, "laughter is the best medicine".
Children show us how to laugh ... they find the ridiculous in everything.  And they love jokes!  Maybe we adults need to take a lesson from their attitude.

Patient: "Doctor, I think I am a dog."
Doctor: "How long have you thought that you are a dog?"
Patient: "Ever since I was a pup."

Patient: "Doctor, I like string vests."
Doctor: "That's nothing to worry about, I like string vests too."
Patient: "Really? Boiled or fried?"

"Why is 6 afraid of 7?
Because 7 8 9."

Apple 1: "What is eating you?"
Apple 2: "Worms I think."

Knock, knock
Who's there?
Stan
Stan who?
Stan back I'm going to sneeze!

In darkness and in light,
in trouble and in joy,
help us to trust your love,
to serve your purpose
and to praise your name;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.

Wow! Two dogs must be a constant source of entertainment. I have always had one, and would love to have two, but am daunted by the extra housework that would involve!!
Should photograph them more too.

I agree! We do have 4 rabbits. Mainly outdoor, but they come to the tiled conservatory for a few hours every day, and escape to the house. Lots of work!

What a good idea the 365 project is. I barely know how to use a camera, but might try the project.
Blessings,
Anita
