340 Commissioning.

In freezing temperatures, -9°C, a good crowd gathered in Saint Paul's, Lisburn, to witness the commissioning of Ronnie Briggs as the Director of CMSIreland.
The Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of all Ireland, Alan Harper is seen here during the questions that were asked as part of the commissioning.  The rector of the church, Rev Jim Carson, Maggie, Suzi, Naomi, Clifford McSpadden (Chairman of the CMSI board) and Bishop Jeremiah are also on the platform.
It was a long evening - but I wouldn't have missed it for anything.
This is the charge that Archbishop Alan gave to Ronnie ....

May the strength of God pilot you.
May the power of God preserve you.
May the wisdom of God instruct you.
May the hand of God protect you.
May the way of God direct you.
May the shield of God defend you.

In the company of him who has called you
go in peace,
be of good courage,
love and serve the Lord,
rejoicing in the power of the Holy Spirit.
And may the blessing of God Almighty
be with you now and for ever.   Amen.
