2010:365:122 Birthday....

It seems that I've been celebrating this "big" birthday for ages!  Today was (still is for another twenty minutes) the day!
Coming to Turkey was a gift and I'm enjoying every minute of it.... that's the kind of gift that keeps on giving!
Today was extra special because of the visit to Myra and the Church of Saint Nicholas - the part in the photograph is from the eighth century.  For over ten minutes there was no one in this section of the building so the time to enjoy the space and silence was wonderful.
A siesta in the afternoon (ALL afternoon) set me up for a great party tonight at the Sultan Garden Restaurant where I was treated like one of the wives!  Wined, dined, given roses, gifts, good wishes and a fantastic meal.
Back home we celebrated the Lord's Supper just now before bedtime - bringing an extraordinary day to a fitting end.
The blog is short....and photographs and details of today will have to wait until tomorrow before they're posted!  Now - I need to go to bed!

Alleluia!
O praise God in his holiness;
praise him in the firmament of his power.
Praise him for his mighty acts;
praise him according to his excellent greatness.
Praise him with the blast of the trumpet;
praise him upon the harp and lyre.
Praise him with timbrel and dances;
praise him upon the strings and pipe.
Praise him with ringing cymbals;
praise him upon the clashing cymbals.
Let everything that has breath
praise the Lord.
Alleluia!

Psalm 150
