Saturday

The sky takes on some beautiful colours at dusk (and dawn too).  During the winter months the magnificent tree at the bottom of my garden creates a delicate tracery through which to photograph the pinks and oranges of the evening sun.

Thinking about trees.  My sister and brother-in-law uncovered for me the "mystery" of the little numbered discs that are affixed to some trees.  Those are specimens on which there is a Tree Preservation Order (TPO).  There is lots more information on the website, if you're interested!

"You learn something new every day" continues to be true.

Life here continues much as usual.  Another offering from British Telecom which will go straight to recycling.  I do hate this waste of paper and also the addition of plastic covering.

We need to become a lot more aware of the environment.

A tiny centipede took up temporary residence in the shower cubicle.  I don't know where he emerged from, nor do I know where he vanished to, but he was around for long enough to have his image recorded!

Meanwhile Dougal brought in his most recent "toy".  A piece of coal!  The sound of him chewing on it is something to be experienced ... or not!  Thankfully he is now fast asleep in front of the fire and his piece of coal has mysteriously disappeared!  I've no doubt that he knows where to find a replacement.

And so another Saturday in 2018 draws to a close.  Night night.
