A cold and frosty morning.

Surely Saint Patrick can do something about this!
However, the sun is bright and the sky mostly blue ... so the day is looking fine for Ireland's patron saint.
Kidnapped at sixteen ... what a frightening time the young lad must have had as he was transported to this very green and soggy land.  And how amazing that he came back with the message of God's love ...

The Japonica Kerria is doing well ... such a bright display on the back hedge.
I keep meaning to try to propagate it ... maybe this year I'll remember!

Christ be with me, Christ within me,
Christ behind me, Christ before me,
Christ beside me, Christ to win me,
Christ to comfort and restore me.
Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ in quiet, Christ in danger,
Christ in hearts of all that love me,
Christ in mouth of friend and stranger.

Saint Patrick's Breastplate.

I bind unto myself today the strong Name of the Trinity....you are so right about the courage and love of Saint Patrick. I am very much reminded of him when staying with the Dean in Cashel, and looking at the Rock of Cashel up on the hill.

You were right about the delicacies you showed in your later posting - how could anyone resist seconds?
