Ah, no, no, no..... twenty minutes left!

Can't do another night without a blog or I'll be in trouble with my sisters, my readers ... assuming that you really are out there!
The day started well after some very heavy overnight rain so I took a quick run down the garden to capture the 365Project picture for today.  The current theme is "in the garden" so this poor bedraggled grape hyacinth growing in front of the acanthus caught my eye.  I think the acanthus looks a bit nutrient deprived so it will be given a good feed tomorrow.
Of course, there were other plants to photograph as well.
At the moment the japonica kerria is doing very well.
This one is "pleniflora" and thrives in just about any conditions!  I'm going to make some cuttings in a couple of months - apparently they strike quite easily!  I love the arching branches and the huge splash of colour at the bottom of the garden.
Meanwhile, in the overgrown iris bed you'll find a few of these fragrant narcissus plants.  They're just about surviving among the long grass ... and the slugs have a great meal off them within hours of the blooms opening!
So, that was "in the garden" for this morning.  The remainder of the day flew past with Holy Communion, administration and visits .... until this evening.
This was the choir outing to West Side Story!  What a show!  What a company!  Great performance.
Sitting in the foyer afterwards was like watching a "Son et Lumière" show ... the changing light on the stairwell is just a little confusing as you walk along ... but beautiful to watch from below!
I was on the lookout for choir members but don't see any in this group of pictures.
It is a bit daft putting up the whole set ... or at least ... a group of four.  Needless to say there were many more taken!
Now, it is bedtime ... the days seem to pass so quickly!  Need to be up bright and early to welcome guests and then there are a couple of appointments arranged before the evening meeting of the Easter Vestry.  Unlike many of my colleagues I have only one such meeting ... some who have groups of churches can have four or five.
This annual meeting has to be held within twenty days of Easter.  This year, with Easter Day being so late in April we opted for a pre-Easter meeting ... although there would be a lot to be said for holding it afterwards.  These days really are busy enough without adding this extra pressure.
Tomorrow it may be difficult to find time to do much more than add a picture to the blog!  You'll understand why!

May the blessing of light be on you - light without and light within.
May the blessed sunlight shine on you like a great peat fire,
so that stranger and friend may come and warm himself at it.
And may light shine out of the two eyes of you,
like a candle set in the window of a house,
bidding the wanderer come in out of the storm.
And may the blessing of the rain be on you,
may it beat upon your Spirit and wash it fair and clean,
and leave there a shining pool where the blue of Heaven shines,
and sometimes a star.
And may the blessing of the earth be on you,
soft under your feet as you pass along the roads,
soft under you as you lie out on it, tired at the end of day;
and may it rest easy over you when, at last, you lie out under it.
May it rest so lightly over you that your soul may be out from under it quickly; up and off and on its way to God.
And now may the Lord bless you, and bless you kindly.  Amen.
Scottish Blessing

Beautiful flowers! I am back in the States and am missing the riotous blooming gorse bushes which I had only read about in books (we don't have them here that I know of). It was an honor to take part in the KJV@4:00 reading on Monday - that Richard at The Good Book shop is such a dear guy! Sorry that our paths didn't cross this time, Elizabeth. Mr. Matty sends greetings to Eliot - he is so glad to have me home even though husband Jer took off from work to be home with him and kitty Bright Spot while I was traipsing about Ireland. Time for his walk and then a jet lag nap!

Thank you for the Blessing. I'd like to share it with others and will mention you as source. It's late at night now, and gives an ideal prayer to go to bed by.

Good to see you all here! Thanks for the comments. Eliot would no doubt send his greetings to Mr Matty and any other pups out there!
