Freezing cold angels ...

Everyone's complaining about the low temperatures ... and I'm sitting looking at the out/in thermometer which registers -8.9 degrees C for outside and 23 for inside ... though it doesn't feel that warm.  Maybe that's because I've been out for a while and haven't quite warmed up.  I'm still wrapped up in coat, hairy cardigan and scarf ...
The Assisi angels had a while on the snow this lunchtime.  The seven little figures are no more than a couple of centimetres tall and have put in a appearance every year for the past twenty Christmases.
Like the Nativity Scene that my nephew made for me they are wrapped carefully in tissue before being packed away for another year.
The photograph of the angels were, of course, on the other computer ... so once again were added on Tuesday morning!
Right now it is bedtime .... a long day of driving in ice and snow and celebrating home communions followed by parties at the Junior Monday Club and then again at Fusion.

O come, thou Key of David, come,
and open wide our heavenly home;
make safe the way that leads on high,
and close the path to misery.
     Rejoice!  Rejoice!
     Emmanuel shall come to thee, O Israel.
