326 Mostly pictures ...

 Blue sky today .... not eight eights ... but at least there was blue!  And no rain.
 Sanctuary 21 opened today - a Salvation Army drop in centre that makes great coffee and ginger cake!
  The walls are covered with prayer requests ... love the simplicity of the idea and the place.
 There was no rain ... but the cobbles are still wet.
This is the college chapel of Saint Mary the Less where we'd just had morning prayer.  The sunshine was a welcome visitor today!
 As usual I headed off to the Cathedral for the morning.
 There's just something amazing about sitting where thousands of others have sat and enjoying the space and time to pray.  The architecture of this place draws you upwards.
At the east end there's the tomb of Cuthbert.  A simple place for private prayer.  I spent a while here as my journey round the Cathedral began.
 The Galilee Chapel at the west end provides an almost deserted space for quiet in the morning.
 Here is the tomb of the Venerable Bede ....
 This carving of The Annunciation has such beautiful delicate features.
Finally, before returning to Cranmer I took a quick walk down to the Market Square and tried to get a photograph of Saint Nicholas'.  There's a lot of work going on in the square at the moment ... it will look good when it is completed.

Lord God,
you call your servants to ventures of which we cannot see the ending
by paths as yet untrodden,
through perils unknown;
give us faith to go out with good courage,
not knowing whither we go,
but only that your hand is leading us,
and your love supporting us;
to the glory of your name.  Amen.
