2010:365:273 "You definitely need to get out more!"

I wonder was this what my sister meant when she commented on yesterday's post?  Perhaps not!  The funniest bit is probably a cleric on her knees behind a shopping trolley taking a photograph of an inch high Tigger who was riding on the handlebar.  "Worship" and "Mammon" come to mind!  And it took a few shots to get the reflections and angles to please me....
Thursday is a free day (although I did have a meeting at lunch time) but before that Tigger took me on a shopping trip.  He's discovered a love for bright lights and Swedish goods.
There were so many new sights and things to explore.  Tigger wasn't hungry so he didn't have any meatballs today.  However, the ice cream was tempting and he was persuaded to have a lick of a strawberry coated cone.
As you can see - it was a very large cone so I had to help him finish it off!
Tigger felt a bit like a celebrity as he was asked to pose for photographs in all sorts of places.  He liked the pretty lights and could have spent a long time just gazing at the variety.  He tried to persuade me to buy a great orange coloured one for his bedroom but it was very expensive!  You'll see him posing in front of it in the collage above.
There were lots of Christmas trees, decorations and wrapping paper.  Tigger was very excited!  He loved the colours, the reflections and the lights.  We were tempted to buy lots of things in this area but resisted and came home with just three rolls of red ribbon!  That will be used for the Christingles that we do in church just before Christmas.
The colourful night lights with cute faces were very appealing.
I'm afraid that Tigger did persuade me to buy a plant!  He said that he felt like an explorer in a giant jungle as he wandered among the roots of this strange looking specimen .... it will be an interesting project to see if it will continue to grow.
So that was part of the Day Off!  I wonder how many security cameras in the UK's biggest IKEA were tracking us as we took photographs all over the store?
One final shot of Tigger at IKEA is from the lighting department.  Here he is standing on a lamp shade!  What an unusual texture!

Now thank we all our God,
with hearts and hands and voices,
who wondrous things hath done,
in whom his world rejoices;
who, from our mother's arms
hath blessed us on our way
with countless gifts of love,
and still is ours today.

This is wonderful! Someone said yesterday that you should write a book...that seems to be the standard comment on 365. But you really have started a children's book here about Tigger's adventures. This is so clever and I know the little girls will enjoy it. They are at home with their parents this evening...they got their flu shots today. So I won't see them but Ami promised me they would visit your blog - I know they will love it. It's good Tigger doesn't have a credit card - your basket would have been filled with goodies. Wonderful story! Can't wait to hear Laycee's comments! Have a wonderful night!

You did an outstanding job of documenting Tigger's outing to IKEA...how nice that you both share a love of shopping there!
