Eliot says, "This is my happy face!"
Up early, walking before eight o'clock and now enjoying a warm coffee in the garden where the sun is trying to put in an appearance. Earlier it was brighter. But it is cool enough.
These are the sort of days when the car is misted up and if you're heading out for an early walk then a hot drink is an essential part of the planning.
The little cross to the right foreground (behind the clothes peg!) came from Lindisfarne as a gift. I must take a close up picture of it .... four inches tall it fits perfectly into your hand. This shot of the dashboard is the 365Project picture for today.

No sooner said, than done! This is it lying on a favourite scarf that was top of a heap of stuff to come on holiday with me.
And why the clothes peg? It is to keep the seat belt from being too tight!
So, this is my first Sunday off this summer ... will be very odd not to be heading out to Saint Nicholas' shortly! Thinking of all the folk there: Churchwardens, Parish Reader, Lay Reader, Youth Worker, lots of lay people and not forgetting the guest preachers and the clergy who are doing emergency cover in my absence.
This is a bit of a "thin" blog but the rest of the day is going to be computer-free! We finish with the collect of today - one of my favourites.
Let your merciful ears, O Lord,
be open to the prayers of your humble servants;
and that they may obtain their petitions,
make them to ask such things as shall please you;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Book of Common Prayer
Collect of the Tenth Sunday after Trinity.
