There should be some good photograph opportunities in these two places....or so you'd think. Just don't go on a Monday! Shut! Closed! Locked!
Looking from the outside, the new cafe is in an attractive location and the views from it will be interesting - but not today.
Having decided that I'd take an hour off this afternoon the third option was close at hand - the Palm House. It is older than the one in Kew and a comfortably warm place to smell the flowers (take a few pictures) and wander aimlessly around. Lots of children were running about - it must be the place to take the wee ones after school if it is too cold to go to the swings.
So, with sanity restored and my eyes feasted on the pinks and reds of the cyclamen I'm ready for the evening's work. That will involve a lot of looking at a computer screen and checking details. The memory of a pleasant time spent in the Botanic Gardens will give me the energy to get done the task that must be ready for a meeting tomorrow morning! Enough of the blogging and photography.....back to work!
Go before us, Lord, in all our doings, with your most gracious favour,
and further us with your continual help;
that in all our works begun, continued and ended in you,
we may glorify your holy name,
and finally by your mercy attain everlasting life;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
