Monday morning

I, Eliot, am writing this (again!). Basically to stay out of the way!
You humans amuse me sometimes. You seem to get tied up in knots about all sorts of things...
Who cares if there's a bit of dust and a lot of dog hair around? It's having time for people that really matters.
Who cares if the "last cut" hasn't happened to the grass or the path is turning green? There'll be a good day sometime to use the mower and to apply the "stuff" to kill moss - it's having time to kick autumn leaves and enjoy the fresh, cold mornings that puts everything into perspective.
So, why don't you brew another coffee - note that it is "another"! Sit down and bring some sort of order into the day. Or better still - put on your gutties and let's go for a walk! Now there's a word you don't hear in polite circles. I wonder what is the origin? It isn't in the New Shorter Oxford English Dictionary. There's a "gutta" listing - which is a gum resin with a Malay orgin...? I wonder...?
Anyhow dogs don't wear gutties (as far as I know) so I'll just pad downstairs to see if "The Boss" is taking my advice.
