Head clearing!

In the midst of a busy day ... a couple of hours at the Christmas Market ... have lunch, meet up with a friend, take photographs ... and get cold!  Temperatures in Belfast today rose by one degree Celsius!  Now, as night has fallen we're back to ...
2°C
... though the forecast has warned of ice during the night!
Inside the City Hall there's a life size Nativity Scene ... made by the pupils of one of the Belfast schools and inspired by Henri Matisse.  It is worth a look if you're at the market.
So too is the City Hall Christmas Tree ... what a magnificent specimen!
Outside, Santa keeps guard ... I'd love to borrow this chap for our Saint Nicholas' Day ... wonder who I'd ask, if they would say "yes" and ... how I'd get him to the church!  Probably not on a Number 9 bus!
He is bigger than life size ...
Smaller and smaller are the Russian Dolls.
Matryoshka
I get earrings from this vendor every year.
Everyone was happy to have pictures taken ... and I know that some will look for them on Facebook ...
These two were selling delicious Italian cakes and pastries.
The hog roast didn't appeal but one of Jolly Pies pies did!
Just outside the City Hall door is a display of winning posters from an Eco competition ... I've met the little girl who won first prize and it was fun to identify her picture and get a photograph of it.  Well done Miss P.
Congratulations to all of the youngsters ... and to those who took part in the competition.  And well done to the Belfast City Council for encouraging art.
Now, I'd probably best get back to what I planned to do this evening!
A song from Thursday's Daily Prayer:
Walk in the light, the beautiful light,
come where the dewdrops of mercy shine bright.
Shine all around us by day and by night.
Jesus, the light of the world.
