The end of another week.

Saturday night and lots to do ... so prioritize!  Change your napkin ready for Sunday!  Of course that's important ... indeed maybe the most important thing ... or perhaps not!
There is however something very pleasant about the feel of pressed linen and this ancient napkin ring has been mine for a long time now.  It was given to me years ago when spotted in a "Junk Shop" and is used practically every day when I'm at home. The enamel is a little chipped in places though you don't notice that so much when it isn't under a macro lens of the camera.  Sometimes you can get just too close!
This early morning photograph didn't load properly but the original is on the other computer so it will have to wait until tomorrow before it is changed.  I guess it was a bit dark for taking pictures but the moon was so good and it is possible to make out the ghostly shape of Eliot mooching around among the bushes and not barking once!
Only after the picture was downloaded did I notice the formation of geese in the top right corner.  I heard them but didn't actually see them at all ... though the camera did!
The dawn makes for a very interesting light on the dog and the plants ... everywhere has a blue tinge ... a bit like the white tee shirt that got into a blue jacket wash this morning!  It isn't exactly "blue" but you'd know that it isn't perfectly white either!  It reminds me of the little blue bag that was put in a white wash in "the old days"!  Whatever was that called?
A quick "Google" and the answer is found very easily: Dolly Blue!  Or Blue Bag.  Or various other names as well.
Isn't it strange how one thing sparks off another idea or memory.  I suppose all sorts of memories are stored away and just need the right trigger to set them off.

Heavenly Father,
whose blessed Son was revealed to destroy the works of the devil
and to make us the children of God and heirs of eternal life:
Grant that we, having this hope,
may purify ourselves even as he is pure;
that when he shall appear in power and great glory,
we may be made like him
in his eternal and glorious kingdom;
where he is alive and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.  Amen.
