Yield not to temptation ....

 And the temptation was a pair of Tyrone Crystal candlesticks at today's Antiques and Collectables Fair!  This happens on the first Saturday of every month and today was particularly busy.  A great buzz in the hall and loads of people there.  These pieces of crystal are in perfect condition ... they look as if they've never been touched, though unfortunately the box is missing.  I guess it doesn't really matter as they're already in use!  The yellow will have to go away for a while but, until Lent begins, it does provide a nice cheerful picture in the breakfast room.
 Collections always look better with three items so the favourite vase came out again for the spring flowers.
The original intention today was to continue with the Fairtrade theme ... and in the course of a few minutes in the Co-op I'd gathered these items ... all of them useful ... though perhaps not all needed today!
Yesterday Baroness Lola Young  managed to secure a place for Fairtrade debate in the House of Lords.  You can't get much better publicity than that.

Now, one or two things to do before bedtime ... so ... looking at the gorgeous candle holders I'll pack up here for the night.

May the Light of lights come
to my dark heart from thy place;
may the Spirit's wisdom come
to my heart's tablet from my Saviour.
Be the peace of the Son mine this night,
be the peace of the Father mine this night,
the peace of all peace be mine this night,
each morning and evening of my life.

Well... when things are both attractive and useful and not too expensive ... who could resist?!!!
