The Easter Cow!

Bizarre.  That's the only word I can conjure up for "The Easter Cow"!
Why?
I'd considered the Easter Rooster was peculiar ... but maybe a tenuous connection with the "Cock Crow" on the eve of the crucifixion and the need to remain faithful to Christ.
But A COW!?
Nowhere in the Easter narrative do I find any reference to this most useful and gentle of creatures.
 The chocolate is "Milky Way" - one of the most delicious (in my opinion) chocolates that there is!  Under the shiny wrapper you have a hollow, moulded cow ... nothing more or less!
Why I took this picture of him looking into the mirror .... it just amused me!
It's been a strange sort of Sunday and now bedtime already ...

Almighty God,
whose Son Jesus Christ fasted forty days in the wilderness,
and was tempted as we are, yet without sin:
Give us grace to discipline ourselves
in obedience to your Spirit;
and, as you know our weakness,
so may we know your power to save;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.

Could be something to do with a land flowing with milk and honey?

Yes, it did seem a bit odd to have a naked cow! Eliot is very sensitive to the aroma of chocolate!
Hadn't thought of the Land flowing with milk and honey ... it's as good a wild guess as any! But I suspect it is as much just ... someone else did the chicken, the rabbit, the rooster .... so ... what's left ... let's do a cow!
