2010:365:64 L is for The Lens, The Little Looking-glass and The Lurking 'Lassie'

It is a bit last-minute again.  A long day and a lot of pressure.  Now it is almost over and I'm ready for bed.  It feels as if I've been ready for bed for about eight hours...
So the Photograph had to be something that could be accomplished in a few shots at the table.  The dog - Eliot of course though he is a "Lassie" type - hasn't left my side.  He's been abandoned all day and  is staying firmly within breathing distance tonight.
It is so cute when he follows me around and nuzzles into my side if he doesn't get the occasional word of something.  Grunts will do, just as long as he knows that he's not being ignored.
"Our Darling's First Book" has a picture of a lion for the letter "L".  There aren't any handy lions here this evening.  So the Lens, Looking-glass and Lurking Lassie will have to do.  CS Lewis might have written the book.  The dog would, of course, be the hero!
None of the pictures is all that interesting - but hey - it's Friday night, the end of a long week, I've attended a Church's Ministry of Healing Service at lunch time, preached at the Women's World Day of Prayer this evening, had a second death in the parish in as many days and need to go to bed!  Good night dear reader and sleep tight(ly).  "All will be well ... all manner of things will be well".  (Mother Julian of Norwich)

We will lay us down in peace and take our rest.
For it is thou, Lord, only, that makest us dwell in safety.

Let us bless the Lord.
Thanks be to God.

The Almighty and merciful Lord, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, bless and preserve us this night and for evermore.  Amen.
