I've had a lot of honey in recent weeks. It soothes a sore throat and eases an irritating cough. A quick "Google" will unearth the many benefits of this sweet substance both to health and beauty.
This 365Project alphabet challenge is proving to be a great deal of fun and if you click on the link to the rest of the photographs you'll see some very creative and brilliant photography. I'm enjoying looking at the entries by others and find it interesting to see just what it is that fires imagination. No sooner has one letter been illustrated until thinking about the next picture begins. It is also great fun to play with backgrounds and look for unusual settings, or simple images. This pot of honey was, for example, snapped in the bath!
References to honey are many and varied in the Bible. Some of my favourite passages are in the book of Psalms where God's words are described as being like honey. Psalm 119 verse 103 is: "How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!"
The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever.
The ordinances of the Lord are sure and altogether righteous.
They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold;
they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the comb.
By them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward.

Interesting the 'save the honey bee' message on this. Just today I caught something on childrens TV about the demise of the honey bee and steps we can take to save it. I hope it doesn't involve eating more honey, I can't stand the stuff!! (except on carrots!!)
