Another year begun...another Advent Sunday... and the collect for the season which brings us back to the familiar words of longing...."Give us grace to cast away the works of darkness and to put on the armour of light..."
The post-communion prayer adding... "God our deliverer, Awaken our hearts to prepare the way for the advent of your Son, that, with minds purified by the grace of his coming, we may serve you faithfully all our days; through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Let's find spaces in the busy four weeks ahead to reflect on what it means today, in this city, in this place, in this home..."to serve God faithfully...."
